How Do You Make This Stuff?

I melt borosilicate glass rods, tubes and glass frit with my torch (the Bethlehem Grand) to create all my pieces.

I "anneal" my work in a kiln to help strength it and reduce any stress that might be in the glass.

What is Borosilicate Glass?

Borosilicate Glass is a type of glass that contains boron trioxide which causes it to be a strong and heat shock resistant.

It has a higher impact-threshold than soft glass (soda-lime glass) which a large amount of the glass items are made of.

Borosilicate glass is a popular choice for scientific glass apparatus, bongs, pipes, drinking vessels, food storage, and more!

Does Borosilicate Glass Break Easily?

Borosilicate glass has a much higher proportion of silicon dioxide in comparison to regular soda lime glass (80% vs. 69%), which makes it even less susceptible to fractures.

Avoid dropping your borosilicate piece onto tile, marble or concrete since there is a higher chance of damage when coming into contact with those types of surfaces.

I drop my glass pendants and necklaces on to vinyl flooring, wood flooring, carpet, and on the ground outside all the time and so far nothing has broken.

If your piece does break please contact me and I might be able to repair it or offer you a discount on a replacement.

How Do I Care for my New Glass Piece?

  • Avoid contact with concrete, marble or tile
  • Take your necklace on and off very carefully to avoid dropping it
  • Place pendant in a safe place when you are not wearing it
  • Clean off glass with microfibre cloth to get rid of finger prints, dirt or oils

Do You Have Longer Necklaces?

All pendants come with a free 18" cotton cord necklace.

However, the bail on each of my pendants should be big enough to fit most necklaces you already own.

My pendants also look awesome on a hemp twine necklace that you can make yourself. That's how I wear all my own pendants.

How Can I Display my Marble?

Your marble comes with a free wooden ring for it to sit on.

However there are more aesthetic marble displays available on Etsy or Amazon
